Terms, Conditions & General Pre-Course info and Advice for you.
Please take time to read the Terms and conditions or you might lose your fee thankyou Rob Reed.
- Motorcycling is potentially hazardous. you should be aware of this. We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure your safety whilst you are training with us, however you should also do your best to prevent injury or accident to yourself or others. Do as your instructor tells you. if you are unsure about anything get it clarified before carrying on.
- At the time of booking a cbt must be paid for to secure the course dates and test appointments.
- The balance of payment is to be made no later than 10 days before the first day of training.
- Rob Reed operates a policy of a maximum two pupils per instructor for all "on road" training. there is usually a waiting list.None riders will not complete a cbt in one day unless thay are on a automatic therefore if you decide to cancel your course please give notice as possible so that someone else can use the training time.Rob Reed can cancel any training if he deams you to be unsafe.
- Refunds will not normally be made unless 10 days notice is given. if less than 10 days notice is given, refunds will only be given if the training time can be resold. If you have no riding history you will be on an automatic machine on day one for cbt.If you cancel the cbt you will lose the fee. This is for road safty reasons.
- All training and equipment is covered by insurance, however there is an excess of £400 for accidental damage and any loss or damage that occurs due to negligence or misuse must be paid for in full.
- Compulsory basic training (cbt) normally takes place over four to six hours and the price is set to reflect this. if, in order for the trainee to reach a satisfactory standard, further training is required a further charge is applicable.
- Please dress appropriately. if you have your own motorcycle clothing and equipment it would probably be better to use that; if not, then wear sturdy boots, a hardwearing jacket and trousers and a pair of gloves, preferably leather. bring waterproofs if rain is forecast or looks likely.
- Try and get a good nights sleep the night before your training and avoid alcohol consumption. As well as being unsafe, there is little point paying to lose all your money if you turn up hung-over.
- Please Read and understand the latest edition of the highway code before your course begins.
- Bring all relevant documentation with you on your first day. if you are doing a cbt course this will be your driving licence (if you have a photo card license then you must bring the photo card and the paper counterpart) which must have provisional motorcycle entitlement unless you only plan to ride a moped. if you plan to use your own 'bike then bring all relevant paperwork and ensure that your tax disc is up to date and clearly displayed on your machine.
- If you are doing a training course with a dsa test at the end in order to obtain a full licence you will need your driving licence (if you have a photo card license then you must bring the photo card and the paper counterpart), a cbt certificate, photographic identification (e.g. a passport) and theory test pass certificate. if you plan to use your own 'bike then bring all relevant paperwork and ensure that your tax disc is up to date and clearly displayed on your machine.
